I started The Waxing Queen of Tucson because I believed Tucson deserved better than a rushed wax in a nail salon. Every service I offer is done by me — personally — so you always know exactly who's taking care of your skin.
Over the years I kept hearing the same thing from clients: they wanted real skincare, not just waxing. So I built a full medical-grade skincare clinic under one roof — the only waxing studio in Tucson that offers both. From Brazilian waxes to microneedling, chemical peels to Glo2 facials, everything is designed to work together.

How painful is a Brazilian wax, really?
Not going to sugarcoat it—there's discomfort. But my technique and hypoallergenic wax make it manageable, and we're done in about 10 minutes. Most clients say it's way less traumatic than the horror stories, and after a few sessions it gets easier as hair grows back finer.
How long does waxing actually last compared to shaving?
Waxing gives ~3–4 weeks of smooth skin vs. 1–2 days with shaving. In Tucson's heat, that means weeks without razor burn, ingrowns, or stubble ruining your pool day at Rillito River.
Do you do male waxing? Is that weird?
Absolutely, and no, it's not weird. I do back, chest, Brazilian, and full-body for men all the time—about half are military from Davis-Monthan, the rest cyclists, swimmers, and guys who are just done with excess hair. Zero judgment, all professionalism.
What's the difference between a Korean facial and a regular facial?
Korean facials are more methodical: layered hydration and prevention for that “glass skin” glow. I adapt the steps for our desert climate (what works in humid Seoul won't here). Regular facials are simpler and great for maintenance.
Will I peel after a chemical peel, and for how long?
Yes—that's the point. Depending on strength, expect 3–7 days of visible peeling. It's controlled flaking, not scary movie stuff. Plan around big events.
How many microneedling sessions do I need to see results?
Most clients need 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart for significant changes in scarring/texture. You'll glow after one, but true collagen remodeling takes time—no instant-miracle promises here.
Is dermaplaning just shaving my face?
Kind of—but done professionally it's medical-grade exfoliation that removes dead skin and peach fuzz, instantly smoothing skin and improving product penetration. DIY with a regular razor risks cuts and infection.
I have really sensitive skin. Can I still get waxed?
Yes—and you should stick to professional waxing. I use hypoallergenic wax and can do a patch test. Sensitive-skin DIY is where disasters happen: burns, reactions, broken capillaries.
What should I do about ingrown hairs after waxing?
Start gentle exfoliation 2–3 days post-wax (not immediately), keep skin moisturized despite our dry climate, and avoid tight clothing right after. I'll recommend products that work in Arizona—not generic one-size-fits-all.
Can skincare treatments really fix sun damage, or is that hype?
They can significantly improve it—lighten spots, smooth texture, and soften lines—but won't erase decades overnight. Peels and microneedling create real change; pair them with daily SPF or you'll undo the gains.
